Lazy Saturday Afternoon at the Library

I spent a lovely afternoon at the library with the kids, no laptop, no diary and completely shutting my brain off regarding things to do. I realise I am losing the ability to wind down even when there is not so much to do, then I make things for myself to do. Decidedly unhealthy.

I usually get to the library for 9.30 to make the most of the day, but I decided to make lunch, pray and then have a slow afternoon wih the kids at their pace. I didn't manage to find anything I was looking for, namely:

Coyote by David Steele
Zeitoun by David Eggers
The Secret Society by Donna Tartt
Children of Dune by Frank Herbert.

I did find plenty to get excited about though:

I should really have left them all in the library considering the state of my bedside table. This isn't everything in my room, there are a pile of books to review under the little table I keep my laptop on, a pile of library books at the bottom of one of my wardrobes and another few random books under my bed.

What really made me happy today though was Little Lady exclaiming "there are so maany books I want to read, how can I read them all!" I sad to her I know exactly how she felt.
